Definitions Ever notice that bipartisan never means Democrats going along with Republicans? “Mr. Rangel has proven himself to be ethically unfit to lead the Ways and Means Committee,” Pelosi said at a news conference the following day. “The burden falls upon his fellow House Democrats. Democrats must answer: Do they want an ethically unfit person to be their committee chairman or do they want to remove the ethical cloud that hangs over the Capitol?” Oh, wait. She said that in 2004 about Tom DeLay. I just changed the words that are green to make it fit today.
Reaganomics = trickle down prosperity Obamanomics = trickle up poverty Saturday, January 30th, 2010 Well Obama gave the State of Obama Address this week. I say "State of Obama" because he said "I" or "me" 96 times, which in a 70 minute speech is more than once per minute. He explained that all the problems we have were inherited from the previous administration (Yes! Maintain the Blame! Keep Hate Bush Alive!). He didn't explain why his increasing the national debt more than one thousand billion dollars (that's $1 trillion) didn't fix the problems, except to say it would have been worse. He wants Congress to put a jobs bill on his desk ASAP, but doesn't explain how can the government create jobs. Surely spending $1 trillion dollars didn't create jobs (oh, but look at all the jobs it saved, yeah right!), so maybe spending a few trillion more will work. Typical liberal thinking; if spending a lot of money on something didn't work, it just means we got to spend more. He said the Republicans just say no to everything, but don't have any ideas to fix the problems. Well again another thing not true. I will say right here what can be done to fix the problem, and spending trillions on "shovel ready" jobs and giving tax breaks to unions is not it. Congress cannot pass a law requiring small or big business to make new jobs. And they cannot pass a law requiring any individuals to go out and start new businesses and prosper and thus hire on additional people to help in their new small businesses. In fact this current administration has demonized prosperity. They call it profit, and want to punish it, but in businesses small and large profit = prosperity, and the Left definitely has a war on that. They believe prosperity comes from the government. The Right believes, as Thomas Paine said, that “Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one.” So here's how the government could allow (not create) prosperity:
These measure would increase revenue to the government, and create jobs and prosperity. See, the Left doesn't get 2 major economic principles which have worked in the past every time they're tried. 1. If you tax something, you get less of it. and 2. When you raise taxes you get less federal revenue, when you lower taxes you get more. This second point makes the Left go "huh?" They look at economics one dimensionally, as if it was a zero sum game. If you take money out of the system, if you let the people (and corporations are people, and not just the very few big rich CEOs, they are the millions of employees and share holders) have less, they buy less, spend less and this results in less production and less jobs. If you let them keep more of their money, very little of it goes into the mattress or into a bank in Belize. Most of it goes into increase spending, which results in increased production and increased jobs. Retailers know that if they need to raise more capital, they don't raise prices. That would result in a decrease in sales. They know that they have to lower prices and the increase in sales that generates increases their capital. That's why they call it "a sale".

The Left defines how good a society is by how many people it has on welfare The Right defines how good a society is by how few people it has that need to be on welfare “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.” - Rahm Emanuel No, Stanford economist Paul Romer Though Paul Romer might have said it first, team Obama's intent is to create crisis because they know that in a "crisis" they can push through things we'd never allow if we were paying attention.
