Climate Change is Everywhere!
(even on Mars)

Climate change. You hear about it a lot these days, but is it really new? Fact is the climate's never stayed the same; it is always changing. In fact, if it were even possible for the climate to stay then same, that would be catastrophic. The earth has always been changing, and it always will. The sun has always been changing, and it always will. And right now its been causing warming, even on Mars.

In fact, the universe is changing. That's right. Since the Big Bang, 13.7 billion years ago, the universe is expanding, and (drum roll please) cooling! Yes the universe is cooling! So while Al Gore may be on a crusade to stop global warming, I am on a quest to stop universal cooling. Please help me with this quest, burn some carbon today.

50 Million People Missing Due to Global Warming!

In 2005 the U.N. Environment Program (UNEP) predicted there will be 50 million "climate refugees" by 2010 due to the ravages of global warming. Now, in 2011, these poor souls are no where to be found.

It's getting warmer - That's Global Warming
It's getting colder - That's Global Warming

Steven Wright once said "It doesn't make a difference what temperature a room is, it's always room temperature."

Greenhouse Gases - The real greenhouse gas is water vapor, and the real energy input is from the sun. But warm-ongers wont tell you that.

The "Climate Change" hoaxters got it all. If It's getting warmer - that's global warming, if it's getting colder - that's global warming. You see, if there really isn't any science behind what you believe, you can explain things any way you want. They say global warming causes more snow because global warming melts the ice-caps and this causes more water to be in the atmosphere and water vapor is a greenhouse gas that causes more global warming. That causes more melting and more water vapor and that causes more warming. Hey, so where does the snow part come from?

Just how much of the "Greenhouse Effect" is caused by human activity?

It is about 0.28%, if water vapor is taken into account-- about 5.53%, if not.

Great news! But what, exactly, have we done? The Stimulus Package (most of which is money not even spent yet)? Cash-for-Clunkers? Or maybe it's the huge job losses and economic downturn that has us reducing carbon pollution. Good job, well done!

A Consensus of Scientists

If a "consensus of scientists" believe something, then it is not science. Science is what is observed or measured, and is reproducible. It is not dependant on consensus. If something has to be believed because of a consensus, it is not science. But is "man made global warming" even believed by a consensus of scientists?

"The Planet Groans Every Time it Registers Another Birth"

Not a global warming story, but still an Environmental Wacko Story. Remember when the population explosion was the big crisis? You heard about it on the news, the warnings were dire. That was also around the time the coming Ice Age was also the big scare (see below). But the predictions of over population and over crowding were sensational, constant, and just like the Environmentalist Wacko's stories of today (i.e.: global warming) meant to scare you and raise money for them.

The truth is most of even the habitable land on earth is vacant of human occupancy, and is natural and "pristine". The truth is . . . if you subdivide land into quarter acre plots, put a 4 person home on each of those plots, then the entire population of the world would fit in the state of Texas.

British Group Pushes Condoms in Climate Change Fight

This could be in the "You Can't Make This Stuff UP" page as well.

Birth control could help combat climate change

LONDON (AP) - Giving contraceptives to people in developing countries could help fight climate change by slowing population growth, experts said Friday.
More than 200 million women worldwide want contraceptives, but don't have access to them, according to an editorial published in the British medical journal, Lancet. That results in 76 million unintended pregnancies every year.

If those women had access to free condoms or other birth control methods, that could slow rates of population growth, possibly easing the pressure on the environment, the editors say.

The above AP article seems to be referring to a recent letter to the editor of the British medical journal "The Lancet" published online Sept. 19th. The letter refers to a UCL Commission report from May.

British Group Pushes Condoms in Climate Change Fight

This video of an interview with Roger Martin of Optimum Population Trust. What is not mentioned is that world population growth peaked in 1963, and has been declining since.

And while less people will consume less, they will also produce less (hey, isn't producing/consuming/producing/consuming...recycling?). The population growth is decreasing, and has been since the 1960's. And while there are cities that are overcrowded (because right now that's where the opportunities are), the vast majority of even habitable land is vacant.

Maldives Cabinet Meets Below Waves to Highlight Climate Change Threat

Maldivian President Mohammed Nasheed signs a document calling on all countries to cut down their carbon dioxide emissions, in Girifushi, Maldives, 17Maldivian President Mohammed Nasheed signs a document calling on all countries to cut down their carbon dioxide emissions, in Girifushi, Maldives, 17 Oct 2009 Oct 2009

The Maldives consists of nearly 1,200 coral islands. The land surface pokes just a couple of meters on average above sea level, making it the lowest-lying nation in the world.

It is feared that rising sea levels could submerge the country this century.

President Nasheed has previously announced plans to buy a new homeland for his country's 350,000 citizens if the Maldives does eventually disappear below the waves.

"From the administration that brought you "man-caused disaster" and "overseas contingency operation," another terminology change is in the pipeline."

After all, too many people now know there is no evidence of "man-made" global warming, and the climate is always changing so they have to make up a new term. To the left it doesn't matter what something is, it only matters what people think about it and that is controlled by the words they use.

Rising Sea Level Claims Retracted

Posted on: Monday, 22 February 2010, 15:45 CST

A 2009 claim that sea levels would rise up to 32 inches by the end of the century, is being retracted, as the original report’s author says the real estimate is still not known. . .

Announcing the formal retraction of the paper from the journal, Mark Siddall, from the Earth Sciences Department at the University of Bristol, said: “It's one of those things that happens. People make mistakes and mistakes happen in science.” There are two separate mistakes in the paper, which were pointed out by scientists after it had been published. A formal retraction was required, rather than a correction, because the errors undermined the conclusion of the study. . .

It was the first retraction from the Nature Geoscience journal since it was first published in 2007, said publisher Nature Publishing Group.

Record Snow Storm Proves Global Warming

Time Magazine Reports "There is some evidence that climate change could in fact make such massive snowstorms more common, even as the world continues to warm."

So, when it's warm it's due to global warming and when it's cold it's due to global warming. When it rains it's global warming, when it's dry it's global warming. When it's . . . etc.

When you believe something based on faith, like a religion, then anything can be due to anything.

The Lancet Retracts Study Tying Vaccine to Autism

And despite dozens of studies that later came out failing to show a link between vaccines and autism, the wackos will still believe it. Belief is just like it is for the environmental wackos; not based on science or truth, but based on their desire to believe.

"A widely cited 2004 statistical review of existing studies by nonprofit health-information provider the Institute of Medicine, which traced the vaccine theory back to the Lancet study, concluded there was no causal link between the MMR vaccine and autism. Some autism activist groups, however, continue to advocate against vaccinations for children, despite the lack of scientific evidence for such a link."
SHIRLEY S. WANG, Wall Street Journal

That's why I put this story here on the Global Warming Climate Change page, and not under Health Care or Not Made Up Stuff.

Danny Glover Reveals Global Warming as Cause of Earth Quake, Blames What We Did in Copenhagen

"Other countries in the region, they are Venezuela, Brazil, Cuba, and other countries have already stepped to the plate. What happened to Haiti is a threat that could happen anywhere in the Caribbean to these island nations, you know, because of global warming, because of climate change and all this. And we need to find -- we did what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen. This is the response. This is what happens, you know what I'm saying? "

No, Danny. We don't know what you are saying.

Now Pat Robertson said it was because Haiti made a pact with the devil years ago, which is kind of nuts too. So the Right has Pat Roberson and the Left has Danny Glover. Let's see. The quake was a result of tectonic plate movement. The earth's crust is made up of tectonic plates which float around on top of liquid magma below the earth's crust and bump into each other. Earthquakes have nothing to do with atmospheric warming or CO2 content (which is not rising, see below). So while Pat Robertson's belief may be a bit closer to the truth, it is still nuts; but Danny Glover displays such a total ignorance about the earth that is so typical of the left.

Oh, by the way. We're having the coldest winter in years. Must be due to global warming. The pipe from our well pump broke; global warming. I got a parking ticket the other day. You guessed it, global warming. See, isn't this fun? Everything can be blamed on global warming (and the Left always has to find something to blame, and if that thing involves capitalism, profit, prosperity, freedom or personal liberty, even better!), but if anyone comments "Hey, wait a minute. How can global warming cause it to be colder than usual?" just change the name to climate change, and it's the same snow job.

New Research Finds Man-made Global Warming May Prevent the Next Ice-Age!

A precipitous drop in North American temperature in 2008, commingled with a decade-long fall in global mean temperatures, are generating opinions contrary to the inferences drawn from the science of climate change. We use an extensive suite of model simulations and appraise factors contributing to 2008 temperature conditions over North America. We demonstrate that the anthropogenic impact in 2008 was to warm the region's temperatures, but that it was overwhelmed by a particularly strong bout of naturally-induced cooling resulting from the continent's sensitivity to widespread coolness of the tropical and northeastern Pacific sea surface temperatures. The implication is that the pace of North American warming is likely to resume in coming years, and that climate is unlikely embarking upon a prolonged cooling.

NBC Blocks YouTube Clip!

But the quote above is his words.

I wonder, do they block all clips with content from NBC, or just this one?

Sorry Al. The inconvenient truth is that it's actually less than 10,000 degrees at its hottest. Is he that stupid, or does he think we are that stupid? Does he think he can just make up these numbers?  The Sun's outer visible layer is called the photosphere and has a temperature of 6,000°C (11,000°F). The core of the Sun is millions of degrees (15,000,000° C; 27,000,000° F).

Hey Al, even those of us who are not geologists have Google, you dope. No wonder you won't debate anyone on the issue.

EPA Threatens Congress

An official from the Environmental Protection Agency who requested anonymity recently threatened an ultimatum to Congress regarding the regulation of carbon emissions, "If you don't pass this legislation, then ... the EPA is going to have to regulate in this area," they said. "And it is not going to be able to regulate on a market-based way, so it's going to have to regulate in a command-and-control way, which will probably generate even more uncertainty."

This alarming threat comes in the wake of the United Nations conference in Copenhagen and the “Climate-gate” scandal which rocked the foundations of climate change research.

The Biggest Greenhouse Gas (by far) is . . . Water Vapor

But banning water is not the answer. But this does demonstrate that many who sign on to causes do so, not because they understand or believe in that cause, but because they want to do the right thing. And saving the world is the right thing.

Watch as the bad boys of magic (Penn and Teller) demonstrate this as they show people signing a petition to ban the insidious dihydrogen monoxide...

The mainstay of environmental groups is not to save the world. Their raison d'être is to raise money. For more about this read Michael Crichton's State of Fear.

In addition to donations from the gullible and ignorant (but well meaning public), research often has to side on the man-made-global-warming side, "because that's where the money is."
