Warren Buffett’s secretary, Debbie Bosanek is Obama's new prop. It's
not fair that she pays a higher tax rate than her billionaire boss. It
doesn't matter we're mixing income tax with capital gains tax. Obama
believes the majority of the public is stupid, and won't get the
difference. So how is he going to make it fair. Is he going to lower her
income tax rate? Oh no. No, no, no, no. Is he going to raise the capital
gains tax? He'd like too, but that'll likely have such a severe effect on
investments and jobs and growth, even us stupid tax payers would see the
effect.
One thing Obama is doing. He's giving Warren Buffett more. By
preventing the Keystone pipeline, he's keeping the Burlington Northern &
Santa Fe Railway Co. in business transporting Canadian oil. The BNSF
Railway is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. which is ,
of course, Warren Buffett.
Of course, we all know what Obama won't do; cut spending!
But there are lots of things Warren Buffett can do to fix
the discrepancy between his taxes and his secretary's. He can pay himself
a salary equal to what he get by capital gains so he'll pay a high income
tax. Or he can stop paying a salary to his secretary, give her a lot of
investments (oh, I guess she'd have to pay taxes on that one time) and let
her pay the capital gains rate, or he can shut up and give all his money
to the government so we can all see what a good liberal he is. Oh wait. I
got that wrong. Liberals don't want to give all their money to the
government. They want everybody else to give their money to the
government.
President Barack Obama's 2012
re-election campaign will be the first in modern political history to
abandon white working-class voters, strategists claim.
For decades, Democrats have been losing
more and more blue collar whites. Their alienation helped lead to the
massive Republican wave in 2010, when the GOP wooed 30 percent more of
them than the Democrats could.
Democratic strategists say President
Obama is focusing his attention, instead, on poor black and Hispanic
voters and educated white professionals.
Now he's said the same thing. Only one year later. As soon as he gets
back from his Martha's Vineyard vacation, he will unveil his plan. And
it's so important, he has to unveil it in front of a joint session of
Congress. And, it's so important that although it could wait until after
his vacation, it had to be told September 7th, the
same night as a Republican Presidential debate. He couldn't
tell us before his vacation. He can't tell us September 6th, and it's so
important it can't wait till September 8th.
Too bad Nancy Pelosi can't wash it down with the tens of thousands of
dollars she used in food and liquor bills on the government planes she
used to be able to fly. Nancy, I got three words for you:
Eat Your Peas!
July 21st,
2011
Could this be Obama's "Jimmy Carter Moment"?
Malaise anyone?
At a press conference, Obama said "Pull
off the Band-Aid, eat our peas" concerning the difficult task of yet
further raising the debt ceiling, while he has already raised our debt to
more than 14 trillion dollars.
Former Jimmy Carter pollster Pat Caddell said on the Fox News Channel
Neil Cavuto's show 7/11/11 "There's an elephant in the room and it's
time to say it. There is a whiff of this guy now, I saw it Friday, in
which the question -- I lived through this with President Carter -- in
which you start asking, 'Does
this guy have any idea what he's doing?'"
Now what I find most amazing about this quote is not the comparison to
Jimmy Carter; that has been made about Obama since before his
inauguration. But to the subtle admission that those who were in the Jimmy
Carter White House became aware that Carter didn't know what he was doing
("I lived through this with President Carter"). But, I believe Obama knows
what he is doing, which is to destroy this country's economy based on free
market capitalism, and turn it into a European type socialist economy.

He can turn back time
Can
you imagine if George W. Bush signed a
guestbook with the date having the wrong year? How about Sarah Palin?
Would we ever hear the end of it? But when you're as smart as Barack
O'bama (after all , we now know he's Irish) it's "oh well, it was jet lag"
or some other such non-sense. After all, he went to Harvard. So, it's just
like the
57 states he campaigned in, our country founded more than 20 centuries
ago, and a breathalyzer, or an inhalator, and so much more. To
paraphrase Ben Franklin . . . Once you have a reputation for being so
smart, you can sleep till noon.

Bill Clinton tried to throw the blame for
the Oklahoma City bombing on talk radio. Too bad Timothy McVeigh (the man
eventually executed for killing 168 and injuring more than 680 people)
said it was Bill Clinton and Janet Reno that drove him to do what he did.
He did it for what the government did at Waco and Ruby Ridge. In fact he
did it on the 2nd anniversary of Waco. But he is the Left's one and only
so-called Right Wing terrorist (although no one in the conservative or Tea
Party political movement agrees with anything he stood for). Truth is most
"lone-wolf" homegrown (that's Leftist double-speak for non-Muslim)
assassins are Leftist. Lee Oswald, Sirhan Sirhan and the Una-Bomber were
all leftist. But the Left keeps trying. Yet the truth is, the perpetrator
of the murders (accident as Pelosi says) in Tucson is neither Left or
Right. He is just plain nuts.
Welcome to the 112th Congress
Pelosi says you can have this gavel, but I still got my big
gavel and I'm taking that home with me.
Yes, it's Obamamagic once again.
With the help of the
Media-Political-Complex keeping
taxes the same is a cut. Remember when Bush proposed those tax cuts. Then
they were "tax cuts for the rich". Now that they are about to expire, and
as Obama said "If
Congress doesn't act, tax rates will automatically go up for just about
everyone in our country." So are we all rich, or were they lying
about Bush's tax cuts?
Does Nancy not get it, or is it all an act?
She said “We
didn’t lose the election because of me,” but she also said "I’m
effective. They had to take me out." Well, which is it Nancy? The Dems
lost because of how "effective" you are. Yes, stay in the limelight, stay
prominent, stay exactly as you are.The Republicans need that for 2012.

You got to look on the bright side. For the
Left; sure there was a sweeping change in the House, but you can say "at
least it
wasn't 70, 80 or even 100 seats lost". And for the Right; yeah Harry Reid
will still be Senate Majority Leader, but at least it
wont be Chuck Schumer.
And for the Right, please . . . no
singing "ding dong the witch is dead" songs, the Left feels bad enough.
As the election approaches, I realized I may not be able
to use this image as the banner for the news media page. Pelosi will not
be the Speaker of the House, and Reid may be among the ever rising "Obama
Unemployed".
So, what to do? Leave "Moebama" and bring back Larry and
Curly? Go back to the original Three Stooges? Or...something else???
Please click on the mail link and leave your
suggestions.
But the partisan news media has to continue
to alarm us of the crises and tragedies that will eminently befall us. But
we don't have to worry about the oil spill in the gulf, we're all dead
from swine flu.
Too bad it's the Spanish economy that's stimulated.
August 1st, 2010
On January 1st, 2011 Bush's "Tax Cuts for the Rich" will
expire and everyone will see what will amount to one of the greatest
increases in the taxes they pay in history (but the libs say that's not a
tax increase).
How much more will
you have to pay? Check it out at
Sen. John Kerry (who served in Viet Nam)
has repeatedly voted to raise taxes while in Congress. It's as though he
thinks higher taxes raises revenue for the government, and is good for
the economy.
Now if a conservative said Massachusetts
should cut those taxes, liberals would say "how can Massachusetts afford
that tax cut?" Liberals have this concept that tax cuts "cost" the
government. That probably comes from their belief that all money (but
their own) belongs to the government. But Massachusetts wouldn't really
lose a penny, because Kerry (who served in Viet Nam), who might have
bought his boat there if there were no taxes, didn't so
Massachusetts isn't really out anything.
Except the boat designers and dock
workers and all the people in Newport Rhode Island who will make money
and have jobs providing the care and service of Kerry's yacht did
benefit from Massachusetts's tax.
In 2007, when President Bush appointed
General Petraeus to lead the surge in Iraq, MoveOn.org ran a full page add
in the New York Times. The New York Times only charged them half the usual
price (after all, even George Soros has to watch every penny). That add
remained up on their web site until last week. As a public service, I have
posted it on Other Stuff.
So, thanks to Rolling Stone Magazine, we
have Petraeus in charge.
The left castigated him, Obama still says
he believes the surge was wrong. . .but it worked. Bush
appointed Petraeus, his plan worked, and now VP Joe "Bite Me" is
claiming credit.
In the never ending struggle to gain power over
every aspect of our lives, the government keeps marching on. But it is not
because they want a total power and control. It is because they know
what's best for us. After all, we are too stupid to take care of ourselves
and eat right. So after the battle against trans fat and in New York the
plan to tax all sugared soft drinks, the next campaign will be . .

Information is a Distraction
I have been remiss in posting to this blog. But I
have been adding content. But there is just too much stuff. Too much crazy
stuff going on, that I can't keep up. I've added stuff to State Run
Media. I've added stuff to Keep Hate Bush Alive. I've even
added to Made Up Stuff. The quote below from Obama is just so
unbelievable, it would need another category: Unbelievable Stuff.

Well it's War on Wall Street. The government has
taken over the car industry, the mortgage industry, the healthcare
industry, student loans (which by controlling who gets loans for higher
education, and what they have to do to "pay back" the loans, they control
many more industries) and now it's time to get the power and the law to
enable them to take over the finance industry. After all, Obama said we
can't let them continue to do business "unfettered".

Tax Day is Here,
But not for 47% of households.
Hundreds of thousands will likely be out
protesting today, at TEA Parties all across the nation. A small handful of
liberals will be out too, shouting and disrupting and pretending to be TEA
Party supporters, to give the TEA Party a bad name. They will act like
racists, bigots, sexists and homophobes. They might get ugly. They will do
what liberals do best.
The News Media knows this, let's see if they report it truthfully.

Don't get me started on taxes. An it's not just that
the top 25% of income earners pay 86% of all federal income tax. I covered
this on My Rants Saturday, January 30th, but I guess it's buried at the
bottom. The thing with taxes is it's not just that the top 50% pay 97% of
all taxes (that makes sense when you see 47% of households don't even pay
taxes), the top 25% pay 86% of all taxes, the top 10% pays 65%, and the
top 5% pays 54%, still more than half of all taxes. They like to demonize
"the rich", who I guess is most of the working people who pay taxes, but
the real super rich don't even pay much income tax. Money made by interest
or from investments is not "income", but the do pay capital gains tax.
No the real problem I have with taxes is the notion
the left has that if the federal government needs more money, and they
always need more money, they just raise taxes. But it doesn't work that
way. If they take money out of circulation, there's less growth and
development, less jobs and thus less tax payers and less revenue for the
government that raised taxes to get more money. It's like a store, if it
needs cash to buy new goods, it doesn't raise prices. That only
slows down sales. It lowers prices (that's why they call it "a sale").
When Reagan took office in 1981 the top marginal tax
rate was 70%. The total tax revenue to the government was $500 billion.
When Reagan left office in 1989 the top marginal tax rate was dropped to
28% and the revenue to the Treasury rose to almost a trillion dollars.
But the people in power now know this. They know
they can't tax us into prosperity. Taxes to them is no longer a way to
generate revenue. It is a way to punish prosperity and success and create
a permanent under class of more than 50% of the voters to be dependant on
government. That is their way to keep the power.
Remember Obama's promise, made many many times: 'if
you make less than $250,000, you will not have your taxes go up". Remember
this as the Bush tax cuts sunset. Remember this as the new taxes for
healthcare take effect. Remember this if they pass a Value Added Tax (VAT)
and if they pass Cap and Trade. And remember this November 2012.

If Obama and the Dems won the battle
over healthcare, who lost? The answer: US! That is we did as in We
The People.
First there was the "Cornhusker
Kickback" and the "Louisiana Purchase". Now comes the "Slaughter
Solution". The Dems are so clever with their use of terms. But then
they've always known it doesn't matter what something is, what only
matters is perception and that can be controlled by words. For example,
when Republicans wanted to pass budgetary items in the Senate with only a
51% margin the press called it the "Nuclear Option". Now the press calls
it Reconciliation.
And while it's true both sides have
passed things in the House by "deeming" it passed, that was for minor
procedural things that could have passed by a simple voice vote. Never for
anything this big or something with this much opposition. The one thing
that is certain is if Pelosi had the votes to pass it, they'd have the
vote. If they have to "deem" it passed it is because they don't have the
votes. So "deeming" something passed that a majority would vote no on
seems to me to be a crime. An attempt to take over the country from the
people and their representatives.
I guess this would have to go in the
"You Can't Make This Stuff Up" category.

Rangel steps down. ABC news said it was
because of the ethics probe, but that's not true. The probe has been going
on a while, it was the finding of the probe that made him do it. But
what's a few corporate paid for trips, when you've failed to pay taxes on
millions of dollars? And once again it seems Nancy Pelosi succeeds again
in making hers "...
most honest, most open and most ethical Congress in history." With all
the other Democrats stepping down, or not running again, you can say she
is truly running a war against "The Culture of Corruption".

Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY)
was admonished by an ethics panel for accepting corporate-sponsored trips
to the Caribbean. The fact that he hid millions of dollars from his taxes,
well maybe Tim Geithner did Charlie's taxes. See Rants
Professor Phil Jones, director of the
Climatic Research Unit of the University of East Anglia in Norwich,
England, temporarily stepped down when emails hacked from his computer indicated
some of the data used for the pivotal papers that showed the famous
"hockey stick" model of global warming was tweaked, fudged or even faked.
Now, in an interview with the BBC he said that data has been lost, that
there has not been warming for the past 15 years, and that it may have
even been warmer during the Middle Ages (the climatic optimum, the warm
spell between the last
Little-Ice Age and the prior).
This "science" has cost the world
trillions of dollars, affected policies and culture and governments, and
has made Al Gore more than $100 million. Yet where is the media's coverage
of it? See Global Warming
Climate Change.
Oh, and for those who I've heard say
"this isn't the hope and change I voted for", I say . . .

Well Obama gave the State of Obama
Address this week. I say "State of Obama" because he said " I " or "me" 96
times, which in a 70 minute speech is more than once per minute. He
explained that all the problems we have were inherited from the previous
administration (Yes! Maintain the Blame!
Keep Hate Bush Alive!). He
didn't explain why his increasing the national debt more than one thousand
billion dollars (that's $1 trillion) didn't fix the problems, except
to say it would have been worse.
Haven't watched the State Run media so I don't know
if they're even covering it, but the big news everywhere else is some
quotes in a new book that's coming out (Game
Change, by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann). See

Ah, the start of the new year. Time for some house
cleaning. So, I've archived each past month off to the Archives. I still
left all the content up under the various tabs, but they'll have to be
archived eventually, too.
Some people have suggested I open this up for
viewers to post, sort of like a real blog. There is blogging software
which I could add on, but I don't know if I want to get this that
complicated, yet.
I can start by having anyone who wants to post click
on the Make Contact link above, and send it via email. I can then post it,
and if there are enough, make a whole new blog page for that.
Thursday, December 31th Happy New Year!
Tonight we not only have the "ringing in of the new
year", but we also will have a
